It's illogical to think Luthor wouldn't have a role to play in Steppenwolf's invasion, so we're fully expecting him to have a much larger part than the vague Arkham Asylum escape in Whedon's cut. Snyder maintains that he'd like to tell the story of The Joker killing Robin one day, and has even hinted it might be in the form of a comic book pencilled by Jim Lee. Joe Manganiello had a minor role in the theatrical cut of Justice League as Slade Wilson, and was portrayed as someone Lex Luthor hoped to recruit for his "Injustice League."

Later that month, during the Deck the Halls of Justice charity stream event, Zack confirmed that he had talked at length with Jim Lee about producing comic tie-ins, spin-offs, and/or sequels to his film series. Nothing had been set in stone so far, but he specifically mentioned a comic set in the Knightmare timeline involving the events that would lead to Flash returning to the past to prevent the apocalypse.

Zack Snyder's Justice League star Ray Fisher has issued a lengthy statement alleging racism on the set of the film's reshoots, and detailing scenes which were added to highlight Cyborg having a penis. Once upon a time, it was rumored that Snyder's son had been cast as Dick Grayson for these scenes, so keep everything crossed that he got the chance to do so for this cut of Justice League. The much older version of the Apokolips ruler is only expected to play a relatively minor role in Justice League, but it's still something comic book fans are getting hugely excited about. Whedon's Justice League made vague mention of a car crash which resulted in the death of Cyborg's mom, but Snyder's cut looks set to clear things up with Victor Stone's origin story. Ryan Choi's name might not ring a bell if you don't know your comics, but he's the current holder of the Atom moniker. Meanwhile, it's unknown why DC chose these characters for the first collection pack for the Snyder Cut, but this could hint at the characters' expanded roles in the film. For starters, Darkseid and DeSaad's time in Apokolips will no doubt be explored, finally revealing more answers as to Snyder Cut Justice League Funko Pops why they chose Earth as their next target.

Before you check it out, you should know all about the craziness that went on behind the scenes. A lot of people are whining that they’ve seen a glimpse of Jared Leto’s Joker as well… Get over it! The Joker is one of the best super villains around, whether Marvel or DC or what ever else and I relish every opportunity i get to see this character on the screen. For me… I think Jared Leto actually makes a great Joker and think it’s a huge shame that he was cut so much from Suicide Squad and didn’t make an appearance in Birds of Prey. I have to say that from a first little look it does look a little like Snyder has just fiddled around with the brightness settings a bit. Most Justice League merchandise was developed for Zack Snyder's Justice League, as the merchandise was being produced before the big change occurred. Though at that time the film wasn't the full Zack Snyder's Justice League as it would eventually become, most merchandise is still consistent with both films. The most notable exception is anything depicting Steppenwolf, whose appearance wasn't changed until later. Snyder's cut of the film is slated to arrive on HBO Max in 2021. This isn't the first time Snyder has revealed a look at Darkseid from his version of the film. In the past year, the director has shared multiple images and VFX mock-ups of the villain. Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to release on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
